Alex is a Spring 2004 initiate of the Iota Beta chapter and currently serves as the Nu sigma Chapter advisor. He has worked for 10 years in program management in community-based organizations, acute and sub-acute psychiatric hospitals and multi-service organizations in Alameda County. Alex attended California State University Sacramento where he received his BA in Psychology with high aspirations to be a change agent in the community. He received his Masters in social work with a focus in community mental health from California State University East bay. Over the years he has provided services to help serve the mentally ill and the dual diagnosed population in rebuilding their lives as well as assisting with reintegrating back into the community. He has directed a social service department for an elderly clinic in Berkeley California. He has worked in higher education with CSU East bay as the Case Management Coordinator and as the director over the HOPE program. He currently serves as a supervisor with Alameda county.
